Beachside Holiday Home Kommetjie

Few homes will have a more enviable location than this extraordinary home in Kommetjie, Cape Town. Literally perched on the famous Long Beach the views are second to none.

The family who holiday here asked us to design an interior that was inviting and comfortable, catering for all generations. We knew that the interior had to live up to the exceptional location and defy stereotypes. We steered away from the traditional blues and whites choosing instead to work on an interior that sat comfortably in the old worlde fishing village and its vernacular.

Soft pastel fabrics were chosen for comfort on upholstered items, whilst pattern and texture were used as to create our signature layered look. This home is one of our favourites and continues to feature in books and magazines around the world.
